Yesterday, we learned that Samsung has started developing One UI 9.0 for the three core devices in its flagship non-foldable smartphone lineup from 2024, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. Now, the brand seems to be doing the same for the Fan Edition device in the series, the Galaxy S24 FE.
A firmware for the Galaxy S24 FE featuring One UI 9.0 has been spotted on Samsung’s server for the first time. It carries firmware version S721BXXUCEZF7 (via Fahad Ali Javed). Going by the firmware version, it is for the international variant of the smartphone, which is sold in Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
One UI 9.0 is based on Android 17 and brings with it additional options to customise the user interface as well as many new features over One UI 8.5, which is based on Android 16 QPR2.
Samsung unveiled One UI 9.0 last month and released its beta version for the Galaxy S26 series. The brand is expected to debut its stable version with the Galaxy Z Fold 8/Flip 8 next month.
