Samsung's SmartThings is among the world's biggest smart home platforms. Its recent integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Home has made it even more invincible. Now, Samsung could be preparing to launch more advanced features for its platform.

SmartThings Pro could be launched soon as the company registers for the term

According to a new report from GalaxyClub, Samsung could launch SmartThings Pro soon. The South Korean firm has registered for SmartThings Pro in the EU, South Korea, and the US. This step was taken last week and almost simultaneously in all three markets. We still don't know what Pro means. Does it mean it gets more advanced smart home controls and integrations? Moreover, will users be required to pay for those features?

Since registration has been completed in multiple regions, SmartThings Pro may be almost ready for prime time. Samsung is going big with AI and connected homes, so it is possible that it will launch SmartThings Pro this year.

All new Samsung smart TVs have a built-in SmartThings Hub, which means users can control compatible smart home devices using their phones or TVs via the SmartThings app. Most new Samsung refrigerators (Wi-Fi ones only), phones, tablets, and TVs are compatible with Matter, so all Matter-compatible devices can also be controlled using the SmartThings app.
