A few weeks ago, Samsung unveiled its new Smart Monitor lineup for 2025. It has three models: Smart Monitor M7, Smart Monitor M8, and the Smart Monitor M9. While the company had revealed details about the Smart Monitor M9 months ago, information about the Smart Monitor M8 has only been revealed now.

Smart Monitor M8 (2025) will get seven years of OS updates

The Smart Monitor M8 model for this year carries model number S32FM80, but can vary slightly depending on the country or market. It is a 32-inch VA panel with 4K resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, 4ms response time, up to 400 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ certification. It has two 5W speakers in a stereo setup with Active Voice Amplifier Pro and Adaptive Sound Pro.

It features the NQM AI processor that features an NPU for AI-powered 4K upscaling for videos. It also poweres Click to Search, a feature that identifies actors, places, objects, and food items on the screen and offers more information about them. It has a Slim Fit Camera for video calls.

Samsung E-Shop

The monitor runs Tizen OS 9.0 with a newer One UI interface that debuted this year. Samsung will provide seven years of OS updates to the monitor. It also features Bixby, Samsung TV+, SmartThings, Microsoft 365, Multi Control, Multi View, and Wireless Samsung DeX.

Its connectivity features include two HDMI 2.0 ports (with CEC), a USB Type-C port with 65W USB PD power output, two USB Type-A ports, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, AirPlay 2, Miracast, and Smart View. Its stand supports height, pivot, and tilt adjustments. The monitor has a VESA 100 x 100 mount for using third-party stands.
