Samsung's Galaxy M series includes some of the best cheap Android phones that you can buy from the company. These handsets were originally made available in India only. The company has since released Galaxy M phones in other markets across the globe as well.

The Galaxy M series continues to do very well in India. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy M13 and Galaxy M13 5G in the country today. A top official also said that Samsung is looking to sell Galaxy M phones worth $1 billion in India this year.

Galaxy M series is incredibly popular in India

Samsung India senior director and head of product marketing Aditya Babbar told local press that Samsung has a target to sell $1 billion worth of Galaxy M phones in 2022. He said that the first half of the year has been very strong as the company saw 20 percent year-over-year growth in value terms.

We have 42 million happy M-Series consumers since 2019. We have very aggressive plans for the year. We have set ourselves a target of USD 1 billion this year coming from the M series,” Babbar said.

India is one of the most lucrative markets for Samsung. The company pays special attention to the market and that has enabled it to retain the top spot. The latest data from market research firm Counterpoint reveals that Samsung's overall value market share in India has grown to 22.6 percent in Q1 2022 compared to 20 percent from the same period in 2021. The company's market share for phones priced in the INR 10,000 ($125) – 40,000 ($499) range has jumped to 26.9 percent from 21.4 percent in the same period.
