Earlier this month, Samsung announced that in addition to the Galaxy Z and Galaxy S series smartphones, the brand will open the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 Beta Program for the Galaxy A lineup of phones as well. Among the four devices in the series eligible to get the update, it looks like the company is all set to release the update for two phones: Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A35.
On Samsung’s Community forum for India and Korea, the tech giant has created sections for One UI 8 Beta Program for the Galaxy A54 and the Galaxy A35, as you can see in the screenshot below (via @Mohammed_K_2010). Usually, Samsung does this a few days before releasing the first beta version. It suggests that the brand may release One UI 8 beta to the two phones very soon.
Samsung had said that it will open One UI 8 Beta Program for all the eligible devices by September 2025. Considering the latest news, the brand seems to be on track to fulfil that promise. It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, a beta version of Android 16 (One UI 8) for the Galaxy A35 was spotted on Samsung’s server. However, the same hasn’t been true for the Galaxy A54.
One UI 8 brings many new features, including a redesigned quick settings panel and Samsung apps, improved split-screen experience, Samsung DeX, and Secure Folder, and much more. You can checkout the complete changelog here.
