One UI 8, based on Android 16, is Samsung’s big software upgrade for 2025. The official rollout is scheduled to begin in September 2025, and a wide range of Galaxy devices are eligible to receive it.
The new software made its debut on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, which launched running One UI 8 out of the box. Naturally, this has left many owners of older foldables asking the same question: “Will my Galaxy Z Fold or Galaxy Z Flip get the One UI 8 update?”
If you’re wondering which foldable models are included, you’ve come to the right place. Below, we’ve put together the full list of Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip smartphones eligible for One UI 8.
For the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, this will be the final major OS upgrade. They will get the One UI 8.5 update sometime next year, following which Samsung will only support both foldables with security updates.
