It's only been a few weeks since Samsung released its new rugged SSD, and prospective buyers can now purchase it at a lower price. Samsung USA is now offering the Portable SSD T7 Shield at a 17% discount for a limited time.

Thanks to this new deal, the 1TB Portable SSD T7 Shield is available for $132 instead of the usual price of $159. At the same time, customers can choose to buy the 2TB variant for $239 rather than $289. The discount applies to all three color options: beige, black, and blue.

The Samsung Portable SSD T7 Shield is an external USB 3.2 drive that offers dust, water, and shock resistance. The SSD was tested to withstand drops from 3 meters. It's IP65-rated and comes with Dynamic Thermal Guard to control heat and deliver optimal performance.

Speaking of performance, the SSD can top sequential read/write speeds of up to 1,050/1,000 MB/s. It's fast enough to allow editing of files directly from the drive without major bottlenecks.

The Portable SSD T7 Shield from Samsung is compatible with Windows PCs, Mac, Android OS, and gaming consoles. It also ships with USB Type-C-to-Type-C and Type-C-to-Type-A cables, so it's ready for use with various devices out of the box. Check the link below for more details.
