According to this new nugget of information shared by @rquandt on X, Samsung intends to give away the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro to Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 buyers.
Samsung plans to announce two new pairs of wireless earbuds at Unpacked on July 10 — a Pro and a non-Pro version — and the report says that the company will be gifting the Pro model to foldable phone customers. Which is quite a surprise.
Samsung hasn't offered free high-end wireless earbuds with its flagship phones in recent years — or at least not globally — and that might be the catch this year, too. In fact, Samsung used to include wired AKG earbuds with most of its phones, too, but that also changed in recent years likely due to sustainability regulations.
As for this generous gift Samsung might be planning, there's no information on whether the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will be given away everywhere for every Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 buyer. Some might not have the same luck, and the gifts Samsung may have planned for early customers could differ by market.
But assuming everyone gets the same treatment, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will make for a great gift, particularly for buyers who don't already have a pair of wireless earbuds. And this year, the Galaxy Buds 3 series will introduce a different design for the buds and the charging case.
As seen in leaked renders, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will have a stem featuring a light strip for notifications, and they'll fit inside a vertical case. Spec-wise, we expect the same range of features as before, including ANC, 360 sound, Ambient Sound, and similar battery life.
