Samsung aims to train over 300 students at IIT-Guwahati in the next three years on these cutting-edge technologies. The training will include classroom lectures, assignments, lab sessions, mini-projects, etc. over a period of 14 weeks.
“At Samsung, our aim is to foster a culture of innovation amongst the students and provide them with the best possible infrastructure. We are confident that Samsung Innovation Lab, which is part of our citizenship initiatives, will help students leverage the growing digital technologies market and develop their talent,” said Peter Rhee, Corporate Vice President of Samsung India.
The Korean tech giant already has Samsung Innovation Labs in IIT-Delhi, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Hyderabad, IIT-Kharagpur, and IIT-Roorkee, carrying out collaborative research and training programs. The company plans to set up more such labs in the near future under its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program, Samsung Digital Academy, that aims to train students on next-generation technologies.
