The Vitality Score is a new Samsung Health feature, and Samsung has announced that it will come to the Galaxy Watch 6 series, too, but it will only work when the smartwatch is paired with the Galaxy S24 series. The feature will be released on the Galaxy Watch 6 later this year. The feature will likely be released to all future Galaxy Watches and might work with future high-end smartphones, too.
This new feature is based on a model from the University of Georgia, and it uses four factors: Activity, Resting Heart Rate, Heart Rate Variability, and Sleep. All these features are considered to offer each user a Vitality Score, and it helps them get personalized health insights and know how ready they are for the next workout. It is accompanied by another feature called Booster Card that helps users make each day healthier by tracking their own goals. The Samsung Health app and Samsung's compatible smart wearable devices will offer actionable insights into the users' health.
The Galaxy Ring will likely be released in the second half of this year alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It could be offered in three colors and several sizes. Samsung could price the Galaxy Ring higher than the Galaxy Fit 3 and lower than the Galaxy Watch 6. The device likely lacks GPS but comes equipped with heart rate and motion sensors.
