Samsung has unleashed two new high-end Odyssey gaming monitors

Samsung is expanding its gaming monitor lineup with two upgraded models: the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9, which is labeled the world's first dual UHD gaming monitor, and the refreshed 55-inch Odyssey Ark, which now has enhanced connectivity features.

Let's start with the latest Odyssey Neo G9, model number G95NC. It's as large as two 32-inch UHD monitors side-by-side. The Odyssey Neo G9 has 57-inch dual UHD (7,680 x 2,160) panels and a 32:9 ratio, Quantum Matrix technology, a 1000R curvature, a refresh rate of 240Hz in full Dual UHD resolution, a 1ms GTG (gray-to-gray) response time, and DisplayHDR 1000 certification.

In addition, the new Odyssey Neo G9 monitor has VESA-certified DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, a USB Hub, Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture capabilities, and Auto Source Switch+. The monitor has a matte finish and an ergonomic stand with height, swivel, and tilt adjustment.

Introducing the refreshed Neo Odyssey Ark

Aside from the Neo G9, Samsung also announced a refreshed Neo Odyssey Ark monitor (model number G97NC), which now sports an improved Multi View feature and better connectivity. The refreshed Neo Odyssey Ark now has a DisplayPort 1.4 connector in addition to 3 HDMI ports.

The latest model supports multi-input with up to four sources and has a KVM Switch, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and one HDMI 2.0 port. Other specs include a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160), a 55-inch diagonal, a 1000R curvature, Quantum Matrix Technology, HDR10+ gaming, and a matte finish. The response time is 1 ms GTG, and the refresh rate can go as high as 165Hz.

Samsung wants to launch the pre-order program for the Odyssey Neo G9 at Gamescom 2023. The event kicks off today. As for the 2023 Odyssey Ark, the company says the refreshed model will be available for pre-order in September. Availability will differ by region.

To celebrate the launch of the two new monitors, Samsung is also launching the Odyssey Twitch channel, where the company will host a special event named Odyssey Evolves. Some of the biggest streamers will be invited to the event and play popular games. Samsung will also offer prizes for channel followers, including a $10,000 gaming setup enabled by the Odyssey Neo G9.
