This new collection of accessories, designed for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the Galaxy Buds 3, recalls “the simpler and more fun years of our youth,” when the Internet was barely a thing and people used dial-up connections.
Social media was virtually nonexistent. Generative AI was but a dream. And streaming wasn't a thing yet.
Even smartphones didn't even exist in 2000. At that time, Samsung was wowing the mobile market with the SPH-M100 (UpRoar), which was the first-ever cell phone with MP3 music playback capabilities.
That phone isn't featured in this collection, but many other iconic things of the Y2K era are.
Remember CDs and CD-ROMs? Remember paperback journals and CRT TVs? Breakfast with no smartphone to look at? These motifs, and others, are used by Samsung's exclusive Y2K 4eva accessory collection.
Among other interesting designs, Samsung showcased a Flipsuit Case made by Paul Frank, which really matches the theme here. It features Julius the monkey next to the slogan “Don't forget to never grow up.”
Samsung says these accessories are available through its online store and Shop App in many markets across Southeast Asia and Oceania.
Moreover, Samsung will give away Y2K 4eva accessories, from pop sockets to cases and stickers through social media contests and giveaways.
