Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5 earlier than expected. The South Korean firm will reportedly announce its next-generation foldable phones in the last week of July 2023. A new report claims to spill some beans on the launch event and its location.
Usually, Samsung holds its Galaxy Unpacked launch events in Barcelona, Spain, or the US. However, according to a report from iNews24, Samsung is strongly considering holding its next Galaxy Unpacked 2023 launch event in Busan, South Korea. It is being reported that TM Roh, Samsung MX President, is in favor of holding the Galaxy Unpacked 2023 Part 2 launch event in Busan to strengthen the South Korean government’s bid to hold World Expo 2030 in the country.
Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 could be unveiled in Busan, South Korea
The company hasn’t finalized its plans yet, but it is carefully reviewing both plans and will soon decide whether to hold the launch event in Busan, South Korea, or New York, USA. All the business arms of Samsung Group are promoting the country’s bid for World Expo 2030 at various levels. The company is promoting it in multiple ways within South Korea and other parts of the world. Since the Galaxy Unpacked event is enormous, it is said that it could attract many people and strengthen the country’s bid to hold the World Expo in 2030. Hopefully, it won’t trash its own climate and environment goals with its next launch event.
Samsung’s TM Roh met with Pham Minh Trinh (Prime Minister of Vietnam), Vo Van Thuong (Standing Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam), Enrique Reina (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Honduras), Marcelo Ebrard (Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico), Carmen Vergara (Director of Panama Investment Promotion), and Raquel Pena (Vice President of the Dominican Republic) to support the Busan Expo 2030 bid.
