The Wear OS 3-powered Galaxy Watch 4 is receiving a new update. Notably, the update brings some Samsung Health improvements along with the March security patch.
Samsung debuted the Galaxy Watch 4 in August 2021. The watch has proven to be quite a fantastic package, thanks to its great features and even better software support. The Galaxy Watch 4 has been pretty consistent in receiving the latest updates.
As per the official changelog shared by Samsung, the update arrives with firmware version R87xXXU1FVC8 for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. It is currently live for users in the United States and is expected to arrive in other regions in the coming days. The update brings the March 2022 patch for security enhancements.
Apart from this, the changelog mentions some Samsung Health function enhancements and improved system stability and reliability. Samsung is being vague about what these improvements actually mean, so we can assume this is a minor update.
To download the latest update on your Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, open the Galaxy Wearable app, and tap on Watch Settings » Watch software update.
