Samsung isn't discriminating between budget and flagship devices when it comes to the One UI 8 (Android 16) rollout. Today, the company started rolling out the update to the Galaxy Tab S9 lineup along with the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A16.
As usual, the update made its debut in Korea for all three devices. For the Galaxy Tab S9, we expect the update to go live in other markets within the next few days, but the A15 and A16 may not get it elsewhere for a couple of weeks. That's just how it is when it comes to major OS updates for Samsung's budget phones.
To download the update, you will need to open your phone's Settings app, navigate to the Software update menu, and tap the Download and install button. If you're in no hurry, just wait and your device should automatically notify you when the update becomes available in your country.
Wondering what the update brings to your phone? We have you covered: find out everything you need to know about One UI 8 here so you can start taking advantage of the new features. For more One UI 8 content, visit our YouTube channel.
Have a different Galaxy device? Check if it's eligible for the One UI 8 update here. You can also find out when your device is scheduled to receive the update by opening the Samsung Members app and checking the notices section (this may not be available in all countries right away).
