Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 series: Everything you need to know

Samsung refreshed its flagship tablet lineup for 2025 with the Galaxy Tab S11 series. After skipping the base variant in the Tab S10 family, this time Samsung has launched a standard Galaxy Tab S11 and a Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, skipping the “Plus” model.

The Galaxy Tab S11 series carries Samsung’s signature premium design with sleek aluminum frames, slim bezels, and full S Pen support. Both models are built with Armor Aluminum and are IP68-certified for dust and water resistance, still a rarity in the tablet market.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra measures 208.5 x 326.3 x 5.1 mm and weighs around 692 g (Wi-Fi) or 695 g (5G). The smaller Tab S11 comes in at 165.3 x 253.8 x 5.5 mm and weighs 469 g (Wi-Fi) or 471 g (5G), making it the more portable option.

On the front, the Tab S11 Ultra features a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2960×1848 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and an anti-reflection coating. The standard Tab S11 uses an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 2560×1600 pixels with the same 120Hz refresh rate and anti-reflection technology. Both displays deliver peak brightness of 1600 nits and 1000 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM).

Both the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S11 are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor. The Dimensity 9400+ features one Cortex-X925 CPU core clocked at 3.73GHz, three Cortex-X4 CPU cores, and four Cortex-A720 cores. It has a ARM Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU.

Memory and storage options vary by model. The Tab S11 Ultra is available with 12GB or 16GB of RAM and 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage. The Tab S11 offers configurations starting at 12GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of storage. Both tablets support microSD expansion up to 2TB.

The Tab S11 Ultra is powered by an 11,600 mAh battery with 45W fast charging, while the Tab S11 includes an 8,400 mAh battery with the same charging speed.

In the camera department, the Tab S11 Ultra features a dual rear setup with a 13MP main sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide. The Tab S10 Ultra's dual front camera setup has been downgraded to a single 12MP ultra-wide front camera. The Tab S11 carries a single 13MP rear camera and the same 12MP ultra-wide front sensor.

Connectivity differs slightly between the models: the Tab S11 Ultra supports 5G (Sub-6) and Wi-Fi 7, while the Tab S11 supports 5G (Sub-6) and Wi-Fi 6E. Both come in Wi-Fi and 5G variants.

Other key hardware includes quad speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and dual SIM (one physical SIM + one eSIM) support. Both tablets come bundled with an S Pen, which has been redesigned to feel more like a regular pencil but loses out on Bluetooth connectivity.

Samsung also offers a range of official accessories, including the Book Cover Keyboard Slim, Book Cover, Frame Cover, and an Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector (sold separately).

The Galaxy Tab S11 series runs Android 16 with One UI 8 out of the box, the same software as the Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung includes its tablet-focused One UI optimizations, such as enhanced multitasking, improved DeX Mode, and full S Pen support.

Both models are eligible for seven years of software support, ensuring long-term updates and security patches. Buyers get some excellent productivity apps with the two tablets, including Clip Studio Paint, Goodnotes, and LumaFusion. Samsung has also worked with other creativity and productivity apps like ArcSite, Noteshelf, PicsArt, and Sketchbook for an optimised experience on the Galaxy Tab S11 series

The Galaxy Tab S11 series debuted on September 4, 2025 at Samsung's online Unpacked event and went on sale the same day.

In Europe, the Galaxy Tab S11 starts at €899 for the Wi-Fi-only model and €1,049 for the Wi-Fi + 5G model (128GB variant). The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra starts at €1,339 for the 256GB Wi-Fi-only version and €1,489 for the 256GB Wi-Fi + 5G version.

In the United States, the Galaxy Tab S11 starts at $799 for the 128GB version, with the 256GB and 512GB variants priced at $859 and $979, respectively. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra starts at $1,199 for the 256GB model, with the 512GB and 1TB options priced at $1,319 and $1,619.

Both tablets are offered in Gray and Silver finishes.
