Samsung has released six One UI 7 beta updates for the Galaxy S24 lineup since December 2024. In the latest beta version, the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra have almost all of the new features that were introduced with the Galaxy S25 series.
One notable Galaxy S25 feature that's missing on the Galaxy S24 lineup is Now Brief. But it seems the feature is already included in the latest One UI 7 beta, there's just no way to see or access it without using an old hack that allows launching some hidden functionality.
As the name suggests, Now Brief provides you a summary of everything you have planned for the day, news, tasks, and more. It can also remind you of upcoming events and trips, the weather, and traffic conditions.
It's not a very useful feature, as we realized when testing it on the Galaxy S25 series. But it's still a part of the Galaxy AI experience and shouldn't stay exclusive to specific devices.
The stable One UI 7 update will start rolling out to the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra from April 7, and it's possible that update will activate Now Brief.
If the Galaxy S24 lineup gets Now Brief, we think other flagships launched in 2024—the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Tab S10 series—will also get it. Who knows, maybe devices launched before 2024 will get it as well? One can hope.
