We've seen the company do this before. It launched the Galaxy S20+ BTS Edition and even the Galaxy Buds+ BTS Edition last year. So why shouldn't it do something similar for the Galaxy Z Flip 3?
In a tweet sent out through its official account, Samsung says that we still need to talk about “#GalaxyxBTS,” hinting at a potential collaboration between the two for the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
The tweet directs includes a link to the press release sent out earlier today for the Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event. No details about this event have been revealed so far. The press release mentions that Samsung will be “opening up new experiences for self-expression through technology.”
The Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event will be live streamed on the company's YouTube channel starting at 10 a.m. ET on October 20. Don't expect to see any brand new devices at this event. There might be new colorways or additional content related to this BTS collaboration.
It's no surprise that Samsung has chosen South Korea's top Kpop group to advertise the Galaxy Z Flip 3. This is already Samsung's best-selling foldable smartphone. The company has already sold over half a million units of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in South Korea alone. The younger demographic has bought the bulk of those devices.
By tapping into the immense power of BTS, Samsung can further entice younger customers to pick up its latest foldable smartphone. If it can make enough of them to meet the demand is another question entirely.
You haven't forgotten about the #GalaxyZFlip3 yet, have you? We still need to talk. #GalaxyxBTS @BTS_twt
