Samsung will bring your repaired phone back to you on an Eco Bike in Germany

Last updated: April 29th, 2022 at 14:24 UTC+02:00

Getting your phone repaired can be a hassle. You have to find the repair center and take time out of your busy day to go there. Even if it’s a minor repair, you may have to wait around for a couple of hours before they are done fixing it.

You could always just drop your phone there and come back to pick it up later but your schedule might now allow it. If you find yourself in this dilemma and happen to be based in Germany, Samsung will now deliver your repaired phone to you in an eco-friendly manner.

The Eco Bike service is available in three cities

Samsung Germany has launched an Eco Bike delivery service that’s offered for free to customers living in Cologne, Berlin and Munich (Munich (Amalienstraße). Customers who drop a damaged Samsung device at one of the company’s repair shops in these cities don’t have to wait around on-site anymore.

They can opt for the more convenient option to have it delivered by bike courier to their home. Samsung Germany is offering this service free of cost to customers. It’s pertinent to note that the bike couriers will only cover a radius of about six kilometers around their designated customer service center.

With that being said, it’s a good initiative on Samsung’s part to utilize a sustainable method for a delivery service that makes its customers’ lives easier. The company could expand this bike courier service to other cities across Germany. Whether it launches the service in other countries remains to be seen.
