Samsung's Bespoke AI can now do your laundry better than ever

In short, Samsung's new washer and dryer All-in-One uses artificial intelligence to sense a variety of parameters and adjust settings accordingly. The system is called AI Opti Wash & Dry, and it detects six parameters to get your laundry clean, fresh, and dry by the end of every cycle.

Samsung's Bespoke AI Laundry Combo is smart enough to sense wash load, fabric, water level, soil level, detergent level, and dry level. When combining all this information, the AI can adjust the washer and drier to come up with the best cycle for each load.

The washer also boasts AI Bubble technology, which, according to Samsung, “creates a cleansing foam that seeps into fabrics for an effective wash.”

Another home appliance that connects to your phone

As you probably know, Samsung's Flex refrigerators and select Bespoke ranges have their own AI capabilities, complete with cameras that can send live video to your phone.

It wouldn't make much sense for the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo to have an internal camera for video streaming, but that doesn't mean it's not connected to your phone.

The AI Laundry Combo washer and dryer syncs with the SmartThings mobile app and sends users cycle notifications that allow them to start, stop, or delay washing cycles directly from their phones.

The Laundry Combo also has an Auto Open Door system that opens the door automatically at the end of the drying cycle, leaving your clothes smelling fresh.

The appliance can notify users when it's out of detergent and is smart enough to auto-dispense and measure the appropriate amount of detergent.
