Usually, Samsung starts rolling out a new security update for Galaxy smartphones at the beginning of a month, with the newer and higher-end devices (Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series) being the first to get it. However, that hasn't been the case this month.
While the brand detailed the February 2026 security patch at the beginning of this month, it hadn't rolled out the update to any phone, most likely because it was busy preparing for Galaxy Unpacked. That's changing today with the Galaxy S25.
Samsung is rolling out a software update to the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, which offers the February 2026 security patch, making these the first set of phones to get it. The latest security update addresses 37 security vulnerabilities present in the previous version of the OS.
As usual, Samsung is rolling out the update first in its home country, South Korea. It is 541.69MB in size and carries firmware version S93xNKSS8BZB2 (via Tarun Vats). We expect the brand to start offering it in other regions soon. To get it, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
