Samsung, the world leader in semiconductor memory, has announced the launch of higher storage capacity variants of its popular USB flash drives. The BAR Plus and FIT Plus USB flash drives will soon come in 512GB storage capacities, up from 256 GB earlier.

They are great for those who carry a lot of media with them or shoot and edit many images and videos on the go. Samsung also announced plans to launch the 512GB version of its USB Type-C flash drive soon.

BAR Plus and FIT Plus USB flash drives now come in 512GB versions

Earlier today, Samsung announced 512GB storage capacity versions of its BAR Plus and FIT Plus USB flash drives. While the higher storage versions aren't listed on Samsung's website yet, they could launch soon. The 512GB versions of BAR Plus and FIT Plus USB flash drives are priced at $79.99 in the US.

The BAR Plus is a conventional-sized USB flash drive with a USB 3.1 Type-A connector and data transfer speeds of up to 400MB/s. It has a metallic finish and a stylish design. The drive is also magnet-proof, shock-proof, temperature-proof, waterproof, and X-ray-proof and has a 5-year limited warranty. It comes in Champagne Silver and Titan Grey colors. It is available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB versions.

The FIT Plus is an extremely small USB flash drive resembling Bluetooth or wireless adapter. Due to its small size, you can always leave it connected to your laptop, and there is a lower risk of it getting bumped while moving around. It has a USB 3.1 Type-A connector and supports data transfer speeds of up to 400MB/s.

Samsung has made the FIT Plus with a magnet-proof, shock-proof, temperature-proof, waterproof, and X-ray-proof body. It is backed by a 5-year limited warranty. It is available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB variants.

You can easily use any of them with the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra, as seen in our video below.

Jose Hernandez, Senior Director of Memory Product Marketing at Samsung, said, “We understand that professionals across the U.S. have increasing data storage requirements. That’s why we’re introducing a new size option within our innovative BAR Plus and FIT Plus USB Flash Drive lineup, ensuring there’s a storage solution for everyone. The drives are also deliberately crafted to complement your personal style – whether you favor sleek and modern or discreet and traditional, you’ll always be connected.
