Samsung is expanding its Art Store collection with its first-ever cinema collection. That's how the company describes its latest Art Store collection, which is based on stills from films by studio A24.
Specifically, 38 stills from A24 join over 5,000 works already available on the Samsung Art Store. The company says the A24 collection's preview materials feature stills from A24 films including Midsommar, Screenshots, and others.
This new collection is available globally on the Samsung Art Store. The platform is accessible on Samsung TVs in over a hundred markets. It's a subscription-based service that transforms your TV into a digital painting.
Although Samsung describes the A24 collection as the “first-ever cinema collection,” artworks from other films already exist on the platform. You can also find 60 works inspired by the world of Moomins, as well as a Disney collection featuring The Little Mermaid, Snow White, Tangled, Star Wars, National Geographic, Planet Earth, and more.
The Art Store used to be available only on Samsung's The Frame lifestyle TV series, but Neo QLED, OLED, and the new Micro RGB lineups now also support the platform.
You can access the Art Store from the TV's home screen, just as you used to access Ambient Mode. Samsung discontinued the latter, but on the bright side, it made the Art Store accessible in more regions.
If you're interested in turning your TV into a digital painting with the Art Store platform, you can subscribe to the service for $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year.
Alternatively, you can create your own custom TV art gallery using SmartThings on your phone.
The Art Store also features a free content section called Streaming. So, even Samsung TV users who aren't subscribed to the platform can enjoy a fraction of the Art Store's content for free, in rotation.
