Amdocs will use Samsung Networks' Citizen Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) products to offer private networks and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) use cases. Moreover, the solution will provide a simple, software-based upgrade from 4G to 5G. A leading provider of software and services to communications and media companies, Amdocs will act as a system integrator. It will use 4G and 5G, IT, and cloud capabilities to build such private networks while offering tight security through end-to-end solutions.
The two companies will offer private networks, services, applications, and even devices to small and medium businesses as well as enterprises. Businesses across various industries, including education, logistics, manufacturing, retail, transportation, and utilities, can use this 5G-ready CBRS solution for improved performance.
Imran Akbar, Vice President and Head of New Business Team, Networks Business, Samsung Electronics America, said, “A thriving partner ecosystem is essential in the next phase of network expansion, as more organizations seek ways to benefit from private networks and advanced communications. Similar to Samsung, Amdocs has deep expertise in customizing applications for companies within industries undergoing rapid digital transformation, such as manufacturing and education, and we look forward to accelerating the next phase of 4G and 5G networks for these markets.”
