Samsung's in-house Exynos chipset division isn't doing great. Galaxy devices powered by Snapdragon are almost always superior to Exynos counterparts, and the Galaxy S22 series was unable to break this loop.
After disappointing fans for the past couple of years, Samsung is reportedly abandoning the Exynos SoC and switching entirely to a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset for the upcoming Galaxy S23 series.

But the gist is that Samsung wants to reorganize its system-on-chip business model and is “pursuing a plan to strengthen our competitiveness in the mid-to-long term.” Samsung's Exynos division might strategically retreat for now until it returns in full force later down the line.
