A redesigned version of the Disney+ app has started rolling out, and it is coming to Samsung TVs and Smart Monitors in the USA. The new design features a horizontal navigation bar that helps you sort through Disney, ESPN, and Hulu content. It also displays content recommendations.
The new Disney+ app has a horizontal navigation bar at the top that lets you switch between Disney+, ESPN, and Hulu content hubs. The first tab is ‘Recommendations,' and it shows recommended content from across the app with the help of the company's new algorithm. The app integrates live TV streams as well through its vertical navigation bar.
Recently, Disney+ also brought content in HDR10+ for Samsung TVs. Outside the USA, the Disney+ app is rebranding Star to Hulu. Moreover, the new app now focuses on huge artworks, similar to Netflix and Prime Video.
All these changes come after Disney announced a price increase across two subscription tiers last month.
Hulu’s live TV service is being integrated into the Fubo TV app, a competitor to YouTube TV. This follows Disney and YouTube TV’s recent breakdown in negotiations and the subsequent removal of all ABC and ESPN content from YouTube TV. Disney holds a 70% stake in Fubo.
