The Galaxy Buds FE wireless earbuds from Samsung have been in the headlines often lately, and that's not entirely surprising, given that they're the first Buds in the FE (Fan Edition) series and offer great value for money. Nevertheless, when it comes to the best of the best, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds still boast the most features and highest sound quality.
Compared to the Buds FE, the problem with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is that they're not cheap. However, they can be a lot more affordable if you take advantage of Samsung's latest limited-time deal — and especially if you can help the company recycle.

For a limited time, Samsung is slashing $40 off the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with no strings attached, which means the price has dropped from $229 to $189.
Although this is a good deal, it's hard to ignore that the Buds 2 Pro still cost almost twice as much as the Galaxy Buds FE. However, you can get a bigger price drop on the Buds 2 Pro if you trade or recycle an old pair of earbuds.
Samsung's dropping $50 for any old pair of headphones
Samsung offers trade-in values of $50 to $75. If you have an older pair of Galaxy Buds and you want to trade it for a discount on the newer Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, you can lower the price by up to $75 on top of the flat $40 discount. This brings the price down to $115.
However, if you feel like $75 is not enough value for your older pair of wireless Galaxy earbuds, you can still get a fantastic $50 deal if you exchange any old wired or wireless pair of earbuds.
You're helping Samsung recycle, and the company is willing to cut you a hefty discount on the Buds 2 Pro. It's a win-win situation, especially if the earbuds you're trading-in had a price tag lower than $50 whenever you got them new.
