Location data seems to be missing from images shared from Galaxy phones to iPhones.

Quick Share on Galaxy devices recently received a major upgrade with AirDrop compatibility. While the feature is currently limited to a few devices, it has generally worked pretty reliably. However, a minor issue has now surfaced, and Samsung is already working on a fix.
A user has reported that when images captured on a Galaxy phone are shared with an iPhone (or any compatible Apple device) using Quick Share, the files do not retain location data. The EXIF metadata in the file appears to be missing location information after the transfer.
Samsung's forum moderator confirmed the problem. According to the moderator, Samsung is now aware of the issue and is working on a fix, which is expected to arrive with a future software update.
In our testing, we were able to reproduce the missing location data issue. However, lens-related metadata appears to be intact in the EXIF data. Samsung’s moderator also noted that engineers are still investigating reports related to missing lens information.
It is likely that an upcoming update to Quick Share or its related components will address the issue with location data not being transferred.
We also noticed that enabling AirDrop compatibility in Quick Share settings causes the phone to disconnect from the Wi-Fi network. It is unclear whether this is a bug or intended behavior. Samsung is also reportedly working on adding the Tap to Share feature to Quick Share with One UI 9.
