As the name implies, the Portable SSD T7 is an external SSD and it's nearly identical to the Portable SSD T7 Touch, except it lacks a fingerprint sensor. It's now available for purchase in India in three color options including Metallic Red, Indigo Blue, and Tital Gray. It comes with 500GB, 1TB, or 2TB of storage, and it costs INR 9,999 ($133), INR 17,999 ($240), and INR 29,999 ($400), respectively.
The Portable SSD T7 has a PCIe NVMe interface and it can achieve maximum read/write speeds of 1,050MB/s / 1,000MB/s. As an external drive, it can be used to securely store data from a PC, tablet, smartphone, gaming console and more.
In contrast, the 870 QVO SSD is a SATA-based internal drive designed mainly for PC users. Samsung claims it brings best-in-segment sequential read/write speeds, topping up the limit of the SATA interface at 560MB/s read and 530MB/s write.
The 870 QVO SSD will go on sale in India through online and offline retail channels starting July 20. It will be available with 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB of storage. Prices have been set at INR 9,999 ($133), INR 19,999 ($266), INR 39,999 ($533), and INR 74,999 ($1,000), respectively. Once again, you'll have to wait until Monday before being able to buy the 870 QVO SSD in India, but the Portable SSD T7 is already listed on Samsung's e-shop.
