A couple of weeks ago, Samsung announced the One UI 8 Watch Beta Program for select Galaxy Watches. The company said the beta software update will be released in June, and today is the last day of the month. And as per its promise, the South Korean firm has released the update today.
Samsung has released the One UI 8 Watch beta update for select Galaxy Watches today. It will likely be released for the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra first and then to other compatible Galaxy Watches, including the Galaxy Watch FE and the Galaxy Watch 5 series, in the future. The beta update will only be released in South Korea and the USA.
It is still not clear if the Galaxy Watch 4 series will get the Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch update, but it is looking more likely that it won't.
Besides an updated UI design, Now Bar, and Now Brief, the update brings four new health-related features: Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach and Vascular Load. However, not all these features will be available on all One UI 8 Watch-compatible Galaxy Watches. For example, features like Antioxidant Index and Vascular Load will only be available on the newest models.
All these new health features recently showed up in the latest stable version of the Samsung Health app for Android devices.
