Samsung has fulfilled its promise by releasing the stable One UI 8.0 update for some high-end Galaxy phones this month. Other eligible devices will receive the update before the end of November 2025. However, the release schedule varies by country or region. Samsung has now revealed its One UI 8 release schedule for India, which may disappoint Galaxy S24 series users.
Today, Samsung sent a notice in the Samsung Members app in India. It lists Galaxy phones and tablets that are compatible with the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 update and when those devices will receive the update. The Galaxy S25 series has already received the update, but the Galaxy S24 series won't get it this month.
Samsung says that the Galaxy S24 series will get the update in October 2025, which is when most other compatible Galaxy devices will also get the One UI 8.0 update. The complete schedule is listed below.

The One UI 8.0 update isn't a major update in terms of features compared to One UI 7.0. However, it still brings some important improvements, including a more secure version of Secure Folder and the new Samsung DeX that is based on Android 16's Desktop Mode. It also brings improvements to alarm, calendar entry, and reminders management.
The update also brings a redesigned version of Quick Share that is more intuitive to use and a more customizable Quick Panel. It also introduces a better menu design for the Samsung Internet web browser. Modes and Routines gets new actions and conditions.
