Over the past few weeks, Samsung has released the One UI 8.0 update for several high-end and mid-range Galaxy phones and tablets. The company has now released the update for its oldest Galaxy Z phones that are compatible with One UI 8: Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.
The stable One UI 8.0 update, based on Android 16, is now rolling out to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and the Galaxy Z Fold 4 in several countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe. The update for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes bearing firmware version F721BXXUAIYIF, while the update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has firmware version F936BXXUAIYIF.
It includes the October 2025 securtity patch to make the phone more secure. The update has a download size of over 3GB, so it would be ideal to download it via a Wi-Fi connection.
If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 4 or a Galaxy Z Fold 4 and live in any of the regions mentioned above, you should check for the new update by heading over to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap the Install now button to start the installation process that lasts a few minutes.
One UI 8 brings redesigned Samsung Internet, Quick Share, and Weather apps. Samsung DeX is now based on Android 16's Desktop Mode and offers a much more stable experience, while Secure Folder is now more secure than earlier. Alarms, calendar entries, and reminders have more management options.
The update introduces more actions and conditions in the Modes and Routines app. It includes improvements to Bluetooth Auracast audio casts, brings support for Bluetooth-based hearing aids, and a new swipe gesture in the Camera app to access tools and settings.
