One UI 8 isn't as big an update as One UI 7 was, but it still brings some important improvements. Besides a new version of Samsung DeX and improved Secure Folder, it brings an important new feature for Galaxy tablets. It has been spotted on the Galaxy Tab S10 series.
The stable One UI 8.0 update, based on Android 16, was recently released for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra in South Korea. After installing the update, several users confirmed that it brought the Now Brief feature to their Galaxy tablets.
Now Brief is a part of the Galaxy AI suite. It uses information from your device to display relevant information at various points in a day. It can display the weather conditions for the day, your upcoming calendar events and reminders, suggested music for your commute, and some news articles based on your interests. At the end of the day, it can also display images and videos you captured that day and the steps you took.
You can customise the content it can display. For example, if you don't want it to suggest news articles and music playlist recommendations, you can turn off those things.
Now Brief, which debuted with the Galaxy S25 earlier this year, landed on the Galaxy Tab S11 series a couple of months ago. Now, it has been released for the Galaxy Tab S10 series. It remains to be seen if it will be released for the Galaxy Tab S9 series or lower-end tablets.
