AI or machine learning? Who cares about the labels.

The recent One UI 8.5 leak has captured fans' attention, giving them a lot to look forward to with Samsung's next major firmware update. The excitement was much needed, as One UI 8.0 has been officially released, so there wasn't much left to get excited about.
There have been several indications that AI will play a significant role in the next firmware update. The handoff between Wi-Fi and mobile data is another area where Samsung is inserting AI.
A new “Switch to mobile data with AI” menu can be found in the Wi-Fi settings on One UI 8.5. Opening up this menu reveals two new options, Intelligent Link Assessment and Intelligent Network Switch.
Based on the descriptions, Intelligent Link Assessment will learn from Wi-Fi link data to intelligently move to mobile data. For example, if it recognizes that the Wi-Fi signal is too weak or has lost the internet connection, it will shift to mobile data automatically so that the user faces no connectivity disruption.
Intelligent Network Switch will switch the device over to mobile data based on Wi-Fi handover history along with the user's movement route. It will basically learn from where the user typically spends the most time connected to Wi-Fi, like their home or office, and switch over to mobile data automatically when they step out.
These seem to be more machine learning-based features than artificial intelligence, but with the line between the two blurred as it is, it's just far easier to slap the AI label on features as it's something consumers understand fairly easily.
However, it's important to note that since these features are located in the Labs section of the Wi-Fi settings, they may not necessary be available in the official version of One UI 8.5.
