One UI 8.5 gets even more Quick Panel customizations via Good Lock

One of the most interesting One UI 8.5 features is its ability to allow you to customize the Quick Panel to your heart's content. You can resize quick setting toggles, change their position and orientation, or remove any toggle completely. With Good Lock's QuickStar module, you can make even more changes.

On devices running One UI 8.5, QuickStar will let you edit the Quick Panel even in landscape orientation. Although it isn't clear if the Quick Panel can be customised differently in landscape and portrait orientations. You can also adjust the size of each item in the Quick Panel. As we reported earlier, you can even set an image for any item in the Quick Panel.

You can change the orientation of any item, similar to what you can do with display brightness and volume sliders in the Quick Panel. The Good Lock team also revealed that QuickStar can show the current setting values for screen brightness and volume control sliders.

Currently, One UI 8.5 is only available in beta form and only for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra in select countries. The stable version of One UI 8.5 could be released in February or March, and the release could coincide with the launch of the Galaxy S26 series.
