Earlier this month, Samsung released Android 15-based One UI 7.0 Beta to eligible Galaxy smartphones. Along with a new UI design, which makes the already best-looking Android skin even better, the new software also brings a ton of new features that make your life easier.
Samsung has mentioned a lot of them in the change log but not all. As people are using One UI 7.0, they are slowly discovering new features that the brand hasn’t specified anywhere. Today, we are going to talk about one such feature, the ability to play music while recording video.
Up until One UI 6.1.1, when you start recording a video using the camera app (or any other app) while the music is playing in the background, Samsung phones stop the music playback, which is quite irritating, especially for people who want the song to be a part of the video to post on their social media. Well, that’s not the case with the new software.
One UI 7.0 gives you the option to keep the music in the background playing even when you start recording a video, as long as you're not using a Bluetooth mic or using a 360 audio recording. This option can be accessed from the Advanced video options menu in the camera settings.
As people continue exploring the latest version of One UI, we hope they will discover more such interesting features in One UI 7.0. On a related note, Samsung has rolled out two One UI 7 beta updates for the Galaxy S24 series at the time of writing. You can check out all the important new features of One UI 7.0 in the video below.
