One UI beta testers are in for a treat, as today, Samsung started rolling out the first One UI 6.0 beta build for the Galaxy S23 in select markets. Users who want to participate in testing the new firmware can sign up through the Samsung Members app on their phones.

As always, the beta program is limited to a few countries and isn't open to everyone who owns a Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, or Galaxy S23 Ultra. As of now, Samsung says the One UI 6.0 beta program is open to Galaxy S23 customers in South Korea, Germany, and the USA, but more countries will likely join within the next few weeks.

    Story continues after the video

How will the One UI 6.0 beta program advance?

In time, it is possible that countries including China, India, Poland, and the UK will also join the One UI 6.0 beta testing program for the Galaxy S23 series. We'll keep you posted as soon as more details emerge.

If history is any indication, Samsung will release a few One UI 6.0 beta builds for the Galaxy S23 series before launching the first public build. The beta program for the Galaxy S23 should last a couple of months and conclude before the end of the year. But by that time, Samsung will have stopped accepting beta tester applications.

More Galaxy devices should join the One UI 6.0 beta program at some point in the near future. Eligible phones include the Galaxy S22 series, 2022 Galaxy Z foldable phones, and even a couple of Galaxy A mid-range devices.

The list of changes and additions for the first One UI 6.0 beta update is vast. Samsung changed many aspects and even introduced a new typeface. The company says this new font is more modern and stylish.
