The day that Samsung fans had been waiting for is finally here. The company has unveiled the Galaxy Z Fold 7 today at its Unpacked event in New York City. It's one of the most significant upgrades yet for the device.
As you'd expect, the company has equipped it with the best tech under the hood. Let's dive into the official details about the Galaxy Z Fold 7's chipset, RAM, and available storage options.

It comes as a surprise to no one that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset. This is the same chipset that the company has used for the entire Galaxy S25 series so you can rest assured that your new foldable phone will deliver top-notch performance.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be available with 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. There's also a 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant. The available configurations will vary by market, so be sure to view the Galaxy Z Fold 7 on Samsung's website to know for sure which configurations are available for you to purchase.
Samsung didn't say anything about a new vapor chamber for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 so one would imagine that it's either unchanged or it's the same one that the company utilized for the Z Fold SE. We'll come to know for sure once the teardown of the device is posted.
You can pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold 7 starting today with deliveries scheduled for July 25. Prices start at $1,999 in the United States.
