NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang happy to cooperate with Samsung for the next 33 years

NVIDIA has emerged as an instrumental part of the semiconductor industry. The company develops AI chips that are in high demand, and it also needs to work together with its industry partners like Samsung to maintain competitiveness.

The company already has a long history of cooperation and collaboration with Samsung Electronics, and its CEO Jensen Huang has said that NVIDIA will be happy to cooperate with Samsung for the next 33 years.

Huang said this while speaking to reporters after the Korea Society Annual Gala in New York this week. He was shedding light on the partnerships with NVIDIA has with leading South Korean companies, such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, LG, Hyundai Motors, and others.

He further added that NVIDIA technology is used in the semiconductor fabrication factories of Samsung Electronics, and that the company's cooperation with South Korean entities is very extensive. “I have worked with Korea for 33 years, and I will work with Korean companies for another 33 years,” Huang said.

Samsung and SK Hynix are both instrumental to NVIDIA's dominance of the AI chip segment. They're the two leading suppliers of high-bandwidth memory, without which NVIDIA's AI chips won't be able to do what they need to do.

As the AI buildout accelerators and new opportunities emerge, the destinies of NVIDIA, Samsung, and other South Korean companies are interlinked more than ever before.
