Samsung's joint promotional activities with Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: Brand New Day continue as the company generates hype for its upcoming foldable phones.
A new short film has been released today featuring our friendly neighborhood superhero and his buddy Ned Leeds, reprised by actor Jacob Batalon, which subtly promotes the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Samsung's wider foldable device.
The short film has been directed by Emmy-nominated filmmaker Kasra Farahani. It shows how fighting crime takes a toll on Spider Man's phones. He racks up dozens of broken phones after his various crime fighting sprees.
The Fabricator comes up with a novel device, a Galaxy Z Flip phone, that can withstand his unique use case. It also develops a new device to help Spider Man stay ahead of the curve. The design isn't fully revealed in the film but the subtle hints it offers make it easy to guess that this is the wider foldable Samsung is due to launch as the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
It's a fun watch as it involves Ned Leeds using the Spidey Tracker to stay on the superhero's trail. Several great actual action shots from the upcoming movie are included in this film as well which fans will love ahead of the movie's theatrical release on July 31.
Meanwhile, Samsung fans can look forward to July 22 when the company is due to unveil its latest foldable devices at the Unpacked event in London.
