Samsung has released an update to the Samsung Internet app for Windows. Carrying version 29.0.0.146, it brings two improvements for the web browser.
First, it improves the “delayed display of added homepage shortcut icons.” Second, it improves the visibility of the text you type in the search bar on the home page.
To update Samsung Internet, open the web browser, click on the hamburger menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen to access the menu, and select Settings. From the options on the left, select About Samsung Internet. If there’s a new version of the app available, the web browser will have downloaded it automatically, and show you the option to relaunch the app to install the update.
Speaking of web browsers, Google is rolling out an update to Chrome for Android. With it, the app now displays the ‘Show Reading mode’ option in the menu for every web page. However, it is still not as convenient as the reading mode in Samsung Internet for Android. If you are a Samsung phone user, don’t forget to watch our video below, where we discuss whether the brand has ruined the Camera app with One UI 8.5.
