Samsung regularly adds new features to its photo editing app. Recently, following the launch of the Galaxy S22 series of phones, Samsung brought new object removal tools to the app. On recent Samsung Galaxy devices, you can remove shadows and reflections from your photos and pictures, and it works pretty well, at least with shadows.
However, the latest update doesn’t bring any new features. Instead, it’s only bringing bug fixes. And since Samsung isn’t going into any detail, one can only hope that any major issues users may have been facing while editing their photos in the Gallery app on their Galaxy device are resolved with the latest version of the app (which can vary depending on your device).
To update to the latest version of Samsung Photo Editor, you can open the Galaxy Store, tap the hamburger button on the top left of the screen, and select Updates. You can also update from inside the app itself when editing an image by tapping the relevant notification.
