Samsung is expected to unveil its next-generation flagship foldable smartphone lineup next month. According to reports, it will have three models: the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra (successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7), Galaxy Z Fold 8 (a wider version of the Ultra model), and Galaxy Z Flip 8.
While previous reports about these devices have already suggested that the brand could launch them at a higher price than their predecessors due to rising memory prices, a new leak about the upcoming book-style foldable phones now adds further weight to those claims.
On Naver Blog, a tech insider, Lanzuk, claims that Asian and European sales channels have confirmed that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series will cost more than the Galaxy Z Fold 7. According to the report, the increase in price is due to the rising manufacturing costs.
According to a previous report, the brand will launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra’s base variant, which may offer 256GB storage, for the same price as that of the Galaxy Z Fold 7; its 512GB and 1TB storage versions will cost more than those of the current model.
