A little over a year ago, in December 2022, Samsung introduced a portable battery pack for Galaxy mobile devices. Now, the company appears to have completed work on a follow-up model, which could be coming very soon.

This new power bank from Samsung has a greater capacity and faster charging capabilities. The first renders of this upgraded power bank are now showing up online (via @rquandt).

The upcoming Samsung Battery Pack has the same beige color and overall design as the late 2022 model, except it's now thicker and has three USB-C charging ports instead of two.

This new Battery Pack has the number “20” carved in its beige shell to represent a 20Ah (20,000mAh) capacity.

Samsung Battery Pack now with faster charging

In addition to doubling the capacity of its Battery Pack compared to the 2022 model, sources say Samsung is bringing faster charging to its new external power bank.

The upcoming EB-P4520XU model will supposedly offer 45W Super Fast charging, which matches the maximum charging speed of new flagship phones like the Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra.

Exactly when the 20Ah Battery Pack will go on sale is to be seen, but with official renders now showing up online, an official release could happen at any time now.

Pricing details are  unknown, but it is worth noting that the 10,000mAh Battery Pack (2022 model) was usually priced at $79.99. Given that the upcoming Pack has twice the capacity and faster charging, it could cost over $100.
