First Galaxy Z Flip 7 Exynos 2500 benchmark scores have arrived

Samsung is due to launch its new foldable phones next month, possibly on July 9 in New York City. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 will get some special attention as it's going to be the first foldable phone from Samsung to feature an Exynos chipset. All previous models have had a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

It's not uncommon for new Galaxy devices to be spotted on the Geekbench website prior to their launch. A listing has now appeared, providing us with more Galaxy Z Flip 7 Exynos 2500 benchmark scores.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 is the first Samsung foldable with an Exynos chip

Spotted by @tarunvats33, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 that ran the Geekbench test is a SM-F766B, the international variant of the device, which runs the Exynos 2500 chipset. This handset was paired with 12GB of RAM.

It achieved a single and multi-core score of 2356 and 8076, respectively. This isn't the first time that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 has been spotted on Geekbench. A previous listing was for the US model and it had scores of 2012 and 7563, respectively.

The recent listing breaks down some specs of the Exynos 2500 in this device. It's a 10-core CPU with prime cores clocked at 3.30GHz, aided by two Cortex-A725 cores at 2.75GHz, five Cortex-A725 cores at 2.36GHz, and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.

Benchmarks are rarely indicative of real-world performance, though, so we'll have to wait until we have the device in ours hands to see what the first instance of Exynos on a Samsung foldable phone is capable of.
