According to the online listing (via DealInTech), the 40mm Galaxy Watch 5 with Bluetooth connectivity will cost €259.98. The Bluetooth-only 44mm model is listed alongside a €286.90 price.
In contrast, the smallest version of the Galaxy Watch 4 was released in Europe for €269, while the 44mm model was announced for €299. If the new bits of information are accurate, then the Galaxy Watch 5 might be around ~€10 cheaper at launch than its predecessor.
Samsung has apparently shelved its Galaxy Watch Classic formula and will release a Pro model in its place. According to the online retailer's listing, the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro has a €430.89 price tag.
The 46mm Galaxy Watch 4 Classic was released for €399. Perhaps the lack of a physical rotating bezel will allow Samsung to drop the price of the Pro model by a considerable amount. Keep in mind that these online retailer listings aren't always precise but can paint a general picture of what to expect.
Unfortunately, this isn't the only report we've heard in regards to the Galaxy Watch 5 launch prices. Contrary to what this retailer says, earlier reports said that the Galaxy Watch 5 series is slightly more expensive than the Watch 4 — coincidentally by around €10. Time will tell which version of this story ends up being correct.
Samsung should unveil the Galaxy Watch 5 series at Unpacked on August 10 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4.
