In an official blog post, Samsung has previously announced that the Unpacked 2022 event, which is just a day away, will also be hosted in Metaverse. Along with YouTube and Samsung’s official website, fans can catch the Unpacked event on Samsung’s virtual reality platform- Samsung 837X.
The virtual world is modeled after Samsung’s flagship store located in New York, and in the virtual world, it will be called Decentraland. Samsung is mainly focusing on making the experience sustainable and less harmful to the environment.
The Metaverse event will begin on February 9 at 10 AM EST
From the Samsung 837X lobby, users will be able to go on a scavenger hunt. A new character will help the users understand the basics of the quest and also guide them along the scavenger hunt quest. You can move around the Connectivity Theater and you need to find up to 10 recyclable product boxes.
These recyclable product boxes can be upcycled into something magical. After a player completes the quest, they will be rewarded with a seed. The player can then plant this seed in the Sustainability Forest and earn a special NFT badge. They will be instructed to return on February 14th, Valentine’s Day, to collect their unique wearable.
But that’s not all. The quest also includes several surprises and an Easter egg hunt that will get you another super exclusive NFT badge. Overall, the Unpacked event in the metaverse will include a quest hunt, NFT rewards, product reveals, and live performances. You can enter the Decentraland using your desktop and enjoy this one-of-a-kind metaverse event from Samsung.
