Samsung Display is one of the world's leading display makers and the company continues to make efforts to further improve the quality and competitiveness of its display products. Industry certifications are a great way for the company to showcase the quality of its products.

If it becomes the first in its industry to pick up certain certifications, this just goes to show the high level at which the company operates. That's why Samsung Display has announced with much pride that its display panels for monitors and laptops has now received Pantone Validated and SkinTone Validated certifications.

Samsung Display panels are fast becoming the industry's gold standard

Samsung Display also pointed out that it's the first to get these Pantone certifications in the global display industry. This isn't the first time that Samsung Display has been the first display maker to pick up a certification. Its QD-OLED TV panels were also the first to receive a Pantone certification last year.

There are strict quality guidelines that a product must meet in order to get the Pantone Validated label. For example, the display panel has to hit a level of accuracy in color reproduction of more than 2,100 colors from the Pantone Matching System.

To achieve the Pantone SkinTone Validated certification, a display panel much be capable of accurately reproducing more than 110 skin tones as highlighted in the Pantone SkinTone Guide. Ultimately what these certifications represent is Samsung Display's never-ending pursuit to make as visually accurate display panels as possible, enabling it to further cement its leadership in the OLED panel market.
