The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra includes a set of Galaxy AI[7] tools that work well for productivity. They’re practical shortcuts for tasks that come up regularly in a working day: capturing meeting notes, drafting communications, staying on top of a busy schedule, and breaking down language barriers in real time.
Most of them are built into apps already on the phone, so there is no extra setup required. The Galaxy S26 Ultra includes six Galaxy AI tools that can make a real difference to how you work:
Now Brief is a Galaxy AI daily summary that appears on the Galaxy S26 Ultra each morning. It pulls together your calendar events, meeting times, reservations, and other relevant information from across your apps into a single overview, including details that may have come in through messages rather than being manually added to your calendar.
Now Bar surfaces relevant information at key moments throughout the day rather than just in the morning. If you have a meeting coming up, a timer running, or a flight to track, Now Bar surfaces that context on your lock screen without you needing to open a separate app.
Together, Now Brief and Now Bar reduce the number of times you need to switch between apps to stay informed about what is happening and what is coming up next.
Transcript Assist is a Galaxy AI feature built into the Voice Recorder app. It records audio and converts it into a full written transcript with speaker labels, making it useful for meetings, interviews, client calls, and any conversation where you need an accurate record of what was said.
Once the recording finishes, you can tap Summarise to get a condensed version of the key points without reading the full transcript. You can also translate the transcript into another language directly from the same screen, which is useful for teams working across different languages. You can export the transcript to Samsung Notes, where Note Assist can then reformat or summarise it further.
The transcription itself is processed on the device, so the audio does not need to be uploaded to a server. Summarisation and translation require a network connection.
Note Assist is a Galaxy AI tool built into Samsung Notes. It works on any note with at least 200 characters and can summarise long notes into key points, auto-format unstructured content into headings and bullet points, correct spelling and grammar, and translate notes into another language.
For Galaxy S26 Ultra users who take notes with the S Pen, Note Assist works with handwritten notes too. It can clean up handwriting, convert it to text, and then apply the same summarisation and formatting tools. This makes it practical to write quickly by hand during a meeting and then have a clean, formatted version ready afterward without retyping everything.
Note Assist also supports PDF translation within Samsung Notes. You can import a contract, report, or brief and translate it directly within the note, removing the need to copy content into a separate translation app. Tap the Galaxy AI icon in any note to access Note Assist.
Writing Assist is accessible from the Samsung Keyboard across messaging and writing apps. It can adjust the tone of a message to make it more professional or more concise depending on the context, correct spelling and grammar, and translate messages in real time between languages.
For professional use, the most practical applications are tone adjustment when drafting emails or messages to clients and colleagues, and grammar correction when writing in a second language. The Composer tool can also draft a message from scratch based on a format and tone you select. This speeds up routine communications like follow-up emails, meeting requests, or formal replies.
Writing Assist is available in most apps where you type using the Samsung keyboard, including email clients, messaging apps, and document editors.
Browsing Assist comes built into the Samsung Internet browser. When you open a long article, report, or web page, tapping the Galaxy AI icon gives you the option to generate a summary. This is useful when working through multiple sources on a topic. You can get the key points from each page quickly and go deeper on the ones that are most relevant.
Browsing Assist also supports full page translation, so you can read content in other languages without leaving the browser. Both the summary and translation appear inline, keeping the experience contained in a single place. For anyone who regularly reads industry reports, news, or research as part of their work, Browsing Assist can reduce the time spent on each source.
Interpreter is a Galaxy AI feature that provides real-time translation for in-person conversations. It supports 22 languages and can display both sides of a conversation on screen simultaneously, which is useful in client meetings, international conferences, or any situation where two people are speaking different languages.
To use it, open the Interpreter app and select the two languages. The Galaxy S26 Ultra listens and translates each speaker’s words in real time, displaying the translation on screen or playing it through the speaker. Unlike a live translation service that requires an intermediary, Interpreter works directly on the device. It handles the back-and-forth naturally, making multilingual conversations more practical in spontaneous situations.
