There's been a steady stream of One UI 7.0 leaks over the past few days. The latest leak brought us the updated app icons for several native apps in One UI 7.0 as well as the UI changes within them. It's been great to see the evolution of the design changes in these different leaks. It goes to show that One UI 7.0 is still very much a work in progress.
One of the apps that have been updated for this upcoming software release has already been made available for download. Another app is now available for download as well and it's fully capable of working on current devices like the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
One UI 7.0 app leaks keep on coming
Gerwin van Giessen has pointed us to the availability of the One UI 7.0 Voice Recorder app. It's readily available for download. If you're so inclined to check it out, go ahead and install it on your device.
Samsung has made some improvements to the Voice Recorder app's user interface. It now looks much cleaner overall as some UI elements have been moved around to achieve that clean aesthetic. The list of recordings now shows the time and date on the left side of the screen. An encircled play button sits prominently on the right.
In the screenshot below, you can see how the UI compares between One UI 6 and One UI 7 (right).
If you do decide to install this app, you'll have to do it manually using the Samsung My Files app. Users on a One UI 6-powered device may need to disable the Auto Blocker feature as that may prevent sideloading of apps.
For those who would rather not install an app of dubious provenance, it's likely going to be a couple of weeks before the One UI 7.0 beta program is finally launched, so it would be fine to wait until then as well.
